✍🏻 Irreverently funny, BB Easton’s Group Therapy is the romance READ you need RIGHT NOW! ✍🏻

“Flawlessly written, laugh-out-loud funny, and enough steam to get you hot under the collar—Group Therapy is the perfect binge!”
—Adriana Locke, USA Today Bestselling Author

Group Therapy, an all-new witty and steamy romantic comedy, guaranteed to have you laughing out loud from Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author BB Easton, is now available!

From the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of 44 Chapters About 4 Men (inspiration for the 4th Most-Watched Netflix Original Series of all time, Sex/Life) comes a romantic comedy about an inexperienced psychologist who falls for one of her clients and creates a therapy group from hell as an excuse to see him after hours.

I am thiiiiis close to finally becoming a full-fledged psychologist. PhD? Check. Prestigious postdoc position, providing therapy to entitled millionaires and C-list celebrities whose pumpkin spice lattes cost more than my Converse and make excellent projectiles during their reality TV–worthy tantrums? Check. Letter of recommendation from my velociraptor-like supervisor?

That’s going to take a miracle. Not only because my boss said I have to cure our most-prized client’s writer’s block in time for him to meet his insane deadline, but also because that client just so happens to be …

Thomas F*@%ing O’Reardon.

Yeah, that Thomas O’Reardon. The wickedly brilliant, achingly beautiful, devastatingly British best-selling author whose psychological thrillers line my bookshelf at home and whose face I might or might not picture while I … you get the point. Sitting in a confined space with him; inhaling the crisp, clean scent of his cologne; gazing into his broody blue eyes while trying to remember to nod and listen and come up with suggestions that don’t involve taking our clothes off … it’s torture.

So, when Thomas casually asks me out at the end of a therapy session, I’m forced to make an impossible choice: say yes and risk losing my dream job, or say no and risk losing my dream guy. In a panic, I blurt out a third option—the only solution I can think of that will allow me to see this man after hours without it being considered a career-ending ethics violation:

Group therapy.

The only problem? I’ve never actually done group therapy. And side problem: my other clients are heathens. But what’s the worst that could happen? I mean, it’s not like I’m going to lose all control of the group and let it devolve into a chaotic, bloodthirsty, topless fight club.

Right?

About BB Easton
Wall Street Journal bestselling author BB Easton lives in the suburbs of Atlanta with her long-suffering husband, Ken, and two adorable children. She recently quit her job as a school psychologist to write books about her punk rock past and deviant sexual history full-time. Ken is suuuper excited about that.
BB’s debut memoir, 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN, is the inspiration for the #4 Most-Watched Netflix Original Series of all time, SEX/LIFE. Because she had so much fun writing it, BB went on to publish four more wickedly funny, shockingly steamy, and heartwarmingly honest books, one for each man in her memoir: SKIN, SPEED, STAR, and SUIT.
THE RAIN TRILOGY, an epic, immersive, end-of-the-world romance, is BB’s first work of fiction. Or at least, that’s what she thought when she wrote it in 2019. Then 2020 hit and all of her dystopian plot points started coming true. Hopefully, her feel-good romantic comedy GROUP THERAPY will fix everything.

✍🏻 Happy Release Day, Erin Nicholas! Say It Like You Mane It, the next book of the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild, is LIVE! ✍🏻

One hot cop, one headstrong heiress, and one bed.
What could possibly go wrong?

Say It Like You Mane It, an all-new sexy, opposites attract romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is available now!

What happens when a hellraiser turned hot cop is stuck with a headstrong heiress he’s determined to protect…and resist?

A run-away bride, wearing a freakin’ tiara, and carrying a stolen lion cub, of all things. This was not how rowdy, bad-boy-turned-small-town-cop, Zander Landry expected his day to go.

He really didn’t expect his night to end with her sleeping in his bed after her near-kidnapping.

But his intense attraction to her and the feelings of protectiveness she stirs up? Oh, yeah, he knew those were coming.

She’s stunning, whip-smart, and trouble with a capital T.

Which means, he needs her to head right back the way she came. ASAP.

His town is exactly the way he wants it . . . crazy and trouble free.

Well, the crazy trouble he’s not related to anyway.

Stranded in a tiny town in her half-million-dollar wedding gown with no money and no place to go . . . today is going pretty much exactly the way Caroline Holland expected it to.

But the grumpy, tattooed, oh-my-god hot cop being the answer to all her problems isn’t at all what she expected.

Now that she’s turned all the criminal (and obnoxious) info about her exotic-animal-dealing ex-fiance over to Zander, she can kick back in a hammock with some sweet tea and relax.

Or not.

Turns out Caroline’s not the spoiled heiress Zander thinks she is. The gorgeous hellion wants in on the action and soon discovers just how dirty things can get in the bayou. And the bedroom.

More and more, Zander just wants her safe on the sidelines. But Caroline isn’t going anywhere until justice is done.

It’s a clash of wills that’s gonna get hotter than a crawfish boil in July. And the most fun the Landry family has had watching sparks fly since . . . well, the last book.

RELEASE DATE: March 14, 2022

Add to Goodreads: https://bit.ly/Offsides_GR

Giving her exclusive access was just to the team…not to his heart…

Britt “Cowboy” Callahan’s favorite response for the media? No comment. He’s seen how they can ruin lives and tear families apart. All for “the truth.” Too bad the stunning brunette stealing his attention at press conferences is one of them. And her quest for the truth just landed him on a date, with no way out. But the more he gets to know her, the more he starts to wonder if he wants one.

Theo Kappas is smart, tenacious, and doesn’t let Britt’s prickly demeanor or continued no’s keep her from what she wants. And what she wants is exclusive access to the team that everyone is talking about. The Atlanta Rising Football Club. The fact that she has to outwit her long-term crush is irrelevant, even if it does make her heart beat faster. She’s determined to not let her attraction get in the way—she’s a reporter first, a woman second.

After Cowboy reluctantly gives Theo the access she wants, the two are forced to work side by side and realize there’s more to the other than they thought. But can a reporter and a man who hates them be on the same team?

✍🏻 Professor Romance’s 5 ⭐️ Review: Aly Martinez’s The Difference Between Somebody and Someone, book 1 of her The Difference Trilogy ✍🏻

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You know when you pick up an Aly Martinez romance there is always more. She has this expertise in hiding details and then hitting you with them at the most inopportune times. I have to admit that I was a bit disgruntled that her newest romantic offering would be a trilogy. That means three times the angst spread out over a three-month period of time. That being said, I readily signed myself up to review an early reader copy because…I’m the masochist to her sadist. No, seriously, for me, Aly Martinez has quickly become one of my top-tier romance authors…like top 5. She wallops you with the pain of love, and I thought…I really did think as I was reading the first book of her The Difference Trilogy that I would escape it. For this review, there will be no plot discussion. Simply know that you are not safe from the tomfoolery of Aly Martinez. She makes you feel like you are, and then she hits you with Chapter 24…and, at least for this reader, you feel your brain shift. That’s it; that’s all I will say about her characters and their story.

The Difference between Somebody and Someone is the tip of the iceberg of a soulmate-driven romance about loving through trials. With her exquisite hand, Aly Martinez reminds us with this book of her capacity to make us uncomfortable so we can mine the depths of what it means to love and be loved beyond imagination. I know a trilogy can make one impatient. I know it will be painful to wait for a month, but please don’t miss out on the decadence of this series. This newest book and series is going to slay hearts…I was barely prepared. Next time, I’ll be ready for it. At least, I hope.

✍🏻 Professor Romance’s 4.5 ⭐️ Review: L.B. Dunbar’s Hauling Ashe ✍🏻

Overall Grade: 4.5 ⭐️

Let me take a moment to note how much the ideas in L.B. Dunbar’s newest story, Hauling Ashe, resonate so deeply through my own life experience. Overall, I enjoyed reading Hauling Ashe in all of its enemies-to-lovers, grumpy/sunshine, road tripping, slow-burn ways. Dunbar has infused it with a goodness that you cannot help but enjoy it, even though (here’s my criticism) some of her hero, Tucker’s, and heroine, Mae’s, journey felt manipulative. That word seems heavy, but it best suits the falling action portion of Dunbar’s book when Tucker and Mae cannot accept a future together. I honestly thought that there was inconsistency during that portion as Tucker knows he wants a forever with Mae and Mae wants the same, but they have to push and pull for several chapters before this is resolved. My only criticism is that I thought they could have rectified that sooner. The pacing feels off on that.

All of that aside, Dunbar hit a bruise in me, the one that exists in people of middle age. When you are the ages of Tucker, Mae, and myself, you are left with the time to consider where better or different choices might have saved you heartache and loss. However, as Dunbar so beautifully writes within the pages of her book, those choices are a portion of your life, and you have more opportunities to make different ones for yourself. On their literal road trip or journey, Dunbar provides Tucker and Mae the opportunity to undertake a figurative journey, one that allows them, together, to heal from past traumas. As they journey together, they infuse each other with the strength to face their past, so they can find a future together. There is such beauty in that message especially as, by the end of this book, they find exactly what they are looking for, and you cannot help but think that the future is a place of peace for both of them. This is where I connected with these characters, and I love that Dunbar takes on these heavy themes for an older crowd and wraps it in a steamy, slow-burn romance.

You don’t have to be middle age, however, to fully appreciate L.B. Dunbar’s Hauling Ashe. You simply need to be a human who has made choices in your life that have taken you down a different path. Loaded with twists and turns that mirror those of Route 66, this story will capture you and leave you feeling at peace.

✍🏻 One of my most-anticipated stories is coming February 1st, and I have a sneak peek for Catherine Cowles Tattered Stars. ✍🏻

“An unforgettable start to a new series. Atmospheric, suspenseful and crackling with tension and electric chemistry, Tattered Stars is a must read romance for 2022!” —Samantha Young, New York Times bestselling author

Tattered Stars, a beautiful and moving romantic suspense and first book in the Tattered & Torn series from bestselling author Catherine Cowles is coming February 1st and we have the first look!

Prologue
Everly

PAST

Be brave. For sixty seconds. Twenty breaths. I could do anything for twenty ins and outs. The springs on my mattress squeaked as I swung my legs over the side of my bed. I froze. And listened.

There were lots of things I hated about growing up here. But there were things I loved, too. Things I was grateful for. Like how attuned I was to every whisper. I’d know in an instant if a sound didn’t belong.

I waited. Heard the screen door rattle in the wind. The call of an owl. Even the hum of our refrigerator in the kitchen. I didn’t hear my brother or dad. Mom had been gone for days, helping a baby come into the world. But I wished for her now. She was the only one who had a chance of stopping the craziness. But she wasn’t here, and I wasn’t sure what tomorrow would bring.

I pushed to my feet, praying my mattress would stay quiet and not give me away. The springs didn’t betray me again. I moved to my closet, careful to avoid any floorboards that creaked. Pulling a pair of worn jeans from a shelf, I slipped them on. I tugged the nightgown over my head and reached for a t-shirt.

The breeze picked up through my open window. It had been unbearably hot today but just a few hours into the night and a chill had settled. I grabbed a flannel just in case. Slipping on socks, I picked up my boots. I knew better than to put hard soles on this floor.

My dad had taught me how to move without a sound to avoid any kind of predator. And tonight, I was thankful for each and every lesson—even the ones where I’d had to roll in mud to disguise myself.

I reached for the doorknob, but my hand stilled on the metal. I could just go back to bed. Forget my attempt at being brave and wait for Mom to come home. To bring my dad down from his paranoid state where everyone was the enemy and we were at risk from it all—the government, neighbors, even my teachers.

I’d watched as our lives got smaller and smaller, with fewer and fewer people to trust. I didn’t remember a lot of the normal. But I remembered some. The second grade and Miss Christie before Dad had pulled Ian and me out of school. Visiting Mom’s family in Portland before he’d decided they were heathens. The town fair before he became convinced that it was evil.

I closed my eyes and turned the knob. Stepping out into the hall, I listened again. Nothing out of place. I created a dance to avoid every problematic board in my path, sometimes tiptoeing, other times stretching my legs to the point I worried I’d tip over.

Finally, I reached the front door. Our old dog, Bruiser, raised his head, but I held a single finger to my lips, begging for silence. Feeding him table scraps must’ve paid off because he lay back down and let out a soft snore.

I eased open the door and stepped through to the first true rebellion I’d ever embarked on. One that might make me like my older sister—an outcast. I closed the door behind me with a soft snick, but it was deafening to my ears, echoing off the mountain itself. I let the screen door fall closed, too, only a small rattle in my wake.

I hopped over the porch steps entirely, knowing each and every one would give me away. I landed with an oomph but held in my cry of pain. Slipping on my boots, I glanced at the shed in the distance. The motion lights on its exterior meant I didn’t dare try for it. So, I started for the barn instead.

One of the doors was open a hair to let some of the night air in, and I pulled it a bit more, just wide enough so Storm and I had a path. As I moved down the aisle, our few horses nickered or lifted their heads to see who was about. I paused at the tack room, picked up a bridle, and then continued until I reached Storm’s stall.

She must have scented me coming because her head was already over the stall door. I gave her nose a rub and then urged her back. “Gotta let me in.” She did as I asked, and I left the door open, knowing she wasn’t going anywhere…not without me.

I eased the bridle over her head, and she accepted the bit without complaint. “What do you say we go for a ride?” She seemed to nod her head in agreement. It would’ve been so much simpler if we were just taking off for one of our afternoon adventures, exploring the mountains.

I led her out of the stall and towards the exit. We made our way out, and I hoisted myself onto the fence so I could climb onto her back. She stayed steady as I threw a leg over and adjusted my grip on the reins. “Nice and easy.”

I guided her down the path that stayed far away from the house. One that led to the mountain switchbacks. I glanced up at the sky, thanking the heavens for a nearly full moon. I just prayed my sense of direction was as good as I thought.

I’d never ridden all the way to town before. It was at least fifteen miles, and several paths ebbed and flowed. But I knew where I was headed. I’d memorized these mountains every day of my life. They were both a refuge and a prison. Solace and tormentor.

Tonight, they were on my side. Each trail’s crossroads seemed to give me the next logical step until switchbacks turned to wide, worn paths, the dirt packed by hikers and riders. Soon, I reached the road into town. I stayed just off it, my heart hammering against my ribs as the forests turned to neighborhoods.

I adjusted my grip on the reins, seeking out a peek at the lake on the outskirts of town. The moon made the water almost glitter. “Just a few more minutes,” I whispered to myself. I could be brave for a little longer.

I moved Storm onto the blacktop, her hooves echoing against the buildings along Aspen Street. Every store was dark with limited streetlights so residents and visitors alike could see the stars. Normally, I loved seeing them, too, but tonight I fought a shiver. Wolf Gap felt like a ghost town.

I slowed Storm as we approached the street I knew held my next battle for bravery. I wondered if I was already past the point of no return or if I could guide Storm back up the mountain and go home. I turned her onto Spruce.

The light from a building poured out into the night. It wasn’t harsh, more like a soft beacon, guiding me home. Only if I walked inside, I had a feeling I’d never see home again. WANT MORE? Click here for the full sneak peek. >>>https://bit.ly/3KXHwMq

Synopsis

Be brave. Just for sixty seconds. Twenty breaths.

One night changed them both forever.

Their lives shattered, beyond repair, with jagged edges and pieces askew.

Now, Everly has a chance to make things right. To bring healing to the place where everything fell apart. But it means facing the family her father almost destroyed, and the boy with the dark eyes—now grown—who still haunts her dreams.

Just one breath away from having your life ripped out from under you.

The last thing Hayes wants is another reminder of all the ways he failed sixteen years ago. When Everly drives back into Wolf Gap, his only mission is to get her to leave. For his family’s sake, and for his own, those demons need to stay buried for good.

But everything about this woman is a surprise, from her spine of steel to the sanctuary she hopes to create with the land her mother left behind. And Hayes is powerless to stay away.

As a careful friendship sparks into something more, someone watches. And they’ll do anything to tear it all apart…

✍🏻 Professor Romance’s 4 ⭐️ Review: Jolie Vines’s Ruin ✍🏻

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Jumping into Jolie Vines’s Ruin is like throttling through the rabbit hole to Wonderland. This Dark Island Scots series is nothing like her former McRae clan series. Well, that isn’t entirely true. The hero stills falls hard for his heroine, much to his chagrin. The feel and taste of Ruin is grittier, darker. It’s a world rife with the complications of greed and enmity. No one is safe in Vines’s Ruin, and if you’re looking for a neat bow of a happy ending, you will not find it here. What makes this book a compelling read is how different it is from Vines’s former works, and her natural capacity for writing it is exciting. It highlights a new writing muscle for Vines, and it proffers up a decadent, erotic world that keeps you suspended through its pages.

Some of the big takeaways from Ruin:

  1. There are many layers to this new series. In fact, I think, one of the limitations of Ruin is the number of twists and turns that Vines takes her readers on. There were a few moments where the details felt lost in a new aspect of the story. There are multiple points of view to this story, and I found, at times, it muddled Thea and Struan’s journey. Trust me when I say this: there are many considerations to Ruin. And this is only the first book of the series.
  2. This book ends on a cliffhanger. It seems as though Struan and Thea have found their HFN, but Vines upends it in the final chapter. We will have to check back in with book 2, Sin.
  3. I am a personal fan of a hero such as Struan learning vulnerability when he’s lived a hardened life, and I love a meek heroine such as Thea who finds her strength through loving Struan. Together, these two are combustible. Vines continues to push her eroticism in this book, and I’m intrigued to know where she intends to go with the next books of the series given the steam level of this book. Her Wild Scots series, the second generation of McRaes, started her down this road, pushing the envelope of the physicality of her characters. I suspect the Dark Island Scots are going to get a bit k*nky.
  4. This romance is a story about finding your people. Vines’s characters, Ruin, Sin, Burn, and Scar along with Thea, Lottie, and Cassie, have been traumatized by life, by the people tasked with protecting them. Together, though, they become a family, supportive, protective, and compassionate. For me, that’s the best part of this book. Don’t get me wrong. I love the suspense and action of Ruin, but the relationships of this story are its heart and soul.

There is so much to Jolie Vines’s Ruin, and I am anticipatory for the rest of the stories of her Dark Island series. I have no idea where she means to take it, but be prepared because the rabbit hole is going to grow darker before the light can penetrate it.

In love and romance,

Professor A

Author: Jolie Vines
Genre: New Adult Romantic Suspense
Dark Romance
Release Date: January 27, 2022
BLURB
I wanted him. He wanted to ruin me.

It was the blood I noticed first. Running down the neck of the man on the ferry.
Then his bruised knuckles, dark eyes, and arrogant smirk.
The handcuffs came last.
No one else paid him attention, but I couldn’t look away. Or deny my instant lust.
I had no idea he was being imprisoned on the remote, dark Scottish island I knew well.
Or that he’d been kidnapped, not arrested.
I went from that naïve girl on the boat, dreaming of stolen kisses, to the one who held the key to his prison cell.

When heat turns to hate, all that’s left is ruin.

Ruin (Dark Island Scots, #1) is a new adult romance with dark themes, including angst, lust-to-hate-to-love, and lost innocence. This series will be deeply interconnected, so expect the occasional wicked cliffhanger. It’ll be well worth the heart palpitations.

EXCERPT
He swore and held the bottle to him, his eyes closed. “Why are ye helping me?”
“Honestly? I’ve no idea.”
“But ye believe me that I’m naw a criminal.” He worked his jaw. “Don’t answer that. I’m not a good guy. I’ve been arrested more than once. But this shite is next level.”
I kept my mouth shut, and Struan’s gaze connected with mine, the scrutiny intensifying, like he needed to get into my head.
Inexplicable delight ran through me, a fizz of…chemistry?
Struan’s look turned predatory, raking over me with raw heat and a hunger I barely understood. It scared the life out of me, sharpening my senses.
Suddenly, he lurched up and into my space. I gasped and dropped back onto an elbow. He prowled up my body, forcing me to lie back. One hand landed next to my head, supporting his weight.
His body didn’t touch mine in any place, yet I was still pinned down.
“I repeat, why are ye helping me?” he growled. “What’s in it for ye? Are ye part of this place?”
“W-what do you mean?”
“Small island. A lass who isnae from around here. Ye landed at the same time I did. Is your da my jailor?”
“No! He works in politics in London. We’re only here to visit Granny.”
My phone dropped to the cave floor and shut down, leaving us in perfect darkness.
Struan’s warm breath ghosted over me. “A lass like ye shouldn’t be anywhere near someone like me.”
I shivered, unable to answer.
“Which only means ye have another interest. Name it.”
The weight of him grew palpable, pressing down on me though his body still hovered an inch above mine. The deep scent of man filled my lungs.
Lust sliced through me, shocking in the fast rush of it.
Never once had I felt that. The dark and delicious taste of it on my tongue.
“What is it?” he continued in a taunting drawl. “My mouth, my d**k? Does the bad-boy thing get ye off?”
Brand-new desires broke over me. Not to touch him. Not at all. I wanted the opposite. For this complete stranger to grab me and make me do stuff.
God, I couldn’t admit that.

✍🏻 Ohhh…Stacy Travis’s No Match for Her will steal your heart with Charlie and Cherry’s journey. Check out their cover, and reserve your copy of it TODAY! ✍🏻

Is it only princesses that get a Happy Ever After? Or is there hope for a hot mess like me?

No Match for Her, an all new billionaire romance from bestselling author Stacy Travis is coming February 15th and we have the first look at the gorgeous cover!

I need a date to my brother’s wedding in six weeks, and Charlie Walgrove owns a tux. Billionaires are like that.

He’s also my sister’s boss, and I agree to let her set me up with the awkward genius, who apparently has even less luck in the dating game than a struggling artist, aka me.

We’re total opposites, but the date goes okay. We agree to be friends, the kind who won’t become lovers.

Famous last words.

On a series of “friend dates” involving bar snacks, acrylic paint and hedgehogs, I discover that Charlie is nothing like what I expected. Under his hoodie and glasses, he’s handsome and down-to-earth, stuck in a job he hates and afraid to disappoint people by walking away. His heart is as gorgeous as his hidden face.

I’ve always felt like the flaky sister in my family, but Charlie sees me as the artist I want to be. As our friendship deepens, so do my feelings for him. Maybe I’m even falling in love.

But gambling with my heart feels dangerous when all my relationships end in failure–especially if he’s only looking for a friend.

Is it only princesses that get a Happy Ever After? Or is there hope for a hot mess like me?

About Stacy Travis
It’s a rough world out there, and we all sometimes need a good, romantic beach read, even if we can’t make it to the beach. I’ve spent many lazy days walking the streets of Paris and other gorgeous European cities, and if I’m doing it right, I’m bringing you a dash of romance and a vacay fantasy.
I can’t sit still, so when I’m not hiking, biking or running, I’m playing a very average game of tennis. Background music for writing undoubtedly features some U2, Lizzo, Billy Joel, Pink, Taylor Swift, and Led Zeppelin. Not necessarily in that order. And if I could only eat one food group, it would be cheese. Or wine. Or bread. Are those food groups? Whatever.
