Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour is more of what you love about Erin Nicholas. In this book, Nicholas returns us to the Bayou with a return to her Boys of the Bayou. Mingle in Paige from her Hot Cakes series, and you have the perfect marriage of sweet and salty. We met Paige and Mitch in Nicholas’s novella, Oh, Fudge, where she left of curious about Paige traveling to Mitch’s hometown. It is there where these two tussle with Paige’s issues with commitment. I will say that Mitch is incredibly patient given Paige’s unwillingness to want more from him beyond the physical, but Nicholas does a good job of making us understand the reasons behind Paige’s reluctance. Intermixed with their story is the return of former beloved characters adding a touch of nostalgia to this book. Thankfully, Nicholas works out a happy ending for Paige and Mitch, making us believe in love all over again by this book’s end. This is a fun and steamy read for a weekend afternoon.
