Ella Frank’s Wicked Flame, the second book of her Chicago Heat series, burns bright. Unlike the all-encompassing inferno that wrought tragedy in the hero, Jameson’s, life, this book pulses from the beginning to an ending that leaves us with a controlled burn.
Wicked Flame continues where Wicked Heat left off, precarious. At the end of Wicked Heat, we aren’t certain about Jameson and Ryan’s future. Jameson has discovered his sister, and he believes that he isn’t worth Ryan’s time and effort. However, the true hero of this duet is Ryan. He sees beyond Jameson’s past and recognizes his strengths of compassion and fortitude. As it progresses, Frank draws out a happy ending that holds a depth of emotion. Add to that lots of steam and a little sweetness, and you can’t help but fall in love with Jameson and Ryan’s journey.
Ella Frank’s Wicked Flame entices and draws you further into the halls of its story. Each turn of the page ignites the continued burn of Jameson and Ryan’s story. By the end, you are simply left in the refuse of its fire, and you’ll love every moment of it.
In love and romance,
